Welcome March!

Dear Dolbeare Families,

Thank you to everyone who came out for Friday's annual faculty vs. student basketball game.  Great fun was had by all and it is always a memorable experience for our 4th grade students!

We kicked off the PTO Boosterthon fundraiser last week and met Supersonic Sarah! The students are enjoying the character lessons and all the excitement that goes along with gearing up for this Thursday's fun run.  The fun run, called Duncan's Dolbeare Dash, will be a fitness celebration as our students run 30-35 laps and cheer on their classmates. The schedule for the day is:

9:05-10:05am 4th Grade,
10:05-11:05am 2nd Grade
11:05-12:05pm 1st Grade
12:45-1:45pm Kindergarten
1:45-2:45pm 3rd Grade

Let's hope for a snow-free week!

Maureen Hughes

        Duncan's Dolbeare Dash is Here!!

HI PARENTS! Thank you so much for supporting our Fun Run on March 16!! The run will take place in the Dolbeare Gym. To give your child the best educational experience possible, we’re excited to raise funds for enrichment, field trips and Authorfest! We’re hosting a Fun Run called Duncan's Dolbeare Dash to make that happen. Family and friends anywhere in the world can support our school by giving pledges toward the number of laps your student will run on the day of Duncan's Dash on March 16th! The students are so excited to SLIME Mr. Wallace as they have reached their $10,000 goal! Look for another exciting incentive coming this week!!

1. Register on FUNRUN.COM
2. Connect to sponsors—friends and family who can donate to help our school.
3. Collect! Pledge money is due one week after the run. Checks are payable to the school.

The Boosterthon flyer can be found here.
Thanks in advance!

Please feel free to email with any questions.

We need 8-10 volunteers for each grade level.  Volunteers will hand out water and help mark laps.  We also welcome parents to cheer their children on. Parents must have a CORI form in file in the office. Thank you so much for your support!

Congratulations to Mrs. Ortega and her great Kindergarten collectors!  They were the outstanding winners of our winter Boxtops contest with an impressive 1133.  Second place went to Mrs Livesey's class with 541 and third place to Ms. Young's class with 530. Overall the Dolbeare raised $650 cutting and collecting during this contest.  Keep up the good habits.  Send in Boxtops any time or save them to send in during our spring contest.  Remember- every clip counts!

Our second session of BOKS (Building Our Kids Success) will be starting next month! The early morning program will run for six Tuesday and Thursday mornings from April 24 to June 2. The program brings children together before school to teach new skills, play fun games and learn a bit about nutrition too! We are looking for 3 parents who can help Tuesday and/or Thursday mornings from 7:45 to 8:30 am. All you need is to complete a CORI form and be ready to have some fun. The number of parent volunteers we have directly impacts the number of kids that can participate, so please consider us by April 1. We can be reached at DolbeareBOKS@gmail.com. Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who came to support and cheer on the 4th graders and the staff!!
