Important Parent Information
On Monday December 22nd between 7:00 and 7:30 pm the Wakefield Public Schools will be conducting a test of our Phone and E-mail Notification System. If you do not receive a phone call or e-mail on Monday evening, please send an email to the Dolbeare School Secretary at Chris.Sacco@wpsk12.org or call the Dolbeare School Main Office.
Monday evening we are also implementing the SMS Text Messaging feature of our notification system. If you had previously provided your cell phone number you will also be receiving an SMS Text Message between 7:30 and 8:00. If you wish to receive future SMS Test Message Notifications, you must Opt-In to this service. To Opt-In, simply reply with "Y" or "YES" to the text message you received. If you do not want to receive future SMS Text Messages from the Wakefield Public Schools, simply ignore the message. If you did not receive the SMS Text Message, we do not have your cell phone in our Student Information Database - your cell number can be added by contacting your child's school secretary.
1. Call the main office of the Dolbeare School or send an e-mail to the School Secretary with your cell phone number.
2. Please allow us 48 hours to update the database and then send an SMS text message to 68453. If your number is not in our database when you send the text message, you will not be "Opted-In".

Early Dismissal Procedures
All parents/guardians who pickup a child early from school will be asked to show ID. While Mrs. Sacco and the office staff know many parents, we ask for everyone’s cooperation with this practice for consistency. We understand that checking IDs does add a minute to the dismissal process and we thank you in advance for your ongoing partnership as we take proactive steps to continue to ensure all children’s safety.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU:

Scholastic Book Clubs
The Scholastic Online Book Club is a great way to to buy great, low cost books for your family while giving bonus points to your teacher and the media center. The more you order, the more you give to the school. The books come to the Media Center and get distributed to your child's classroom. Orders are placed twice a month, once around the first and again around the 15th.
