Students in the Wilmington Schools can choose to enter the Orchestra (Strings) or Band Programs beginning in the 4th grade.
Ms. DiLullo and I will be presenting band and orchestra instruments to the 4th graders at the North on Wednesday, September 7. We will present to the students at the West on Thursday, September 8.
Please complete this Registration Form by Tuesday, September 13.

Band and Strings instrument rental and information night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14, @ 7pm in the High School Auditorium. We will talk about the music program in Wilmington, talk about how lessons work, give information about rentals, and rental companies will be there to help get your child(ren) signed up!
This year, I am happy to announce that I will begin anyone on STRING BASS that wishes to play. You will need to rent your own bass (the district does not own basses that small), and get it to and from school for your lessons. Learning to play the bass means you can also learn to play the electric bass - which means you could possibly join Jazz Band in the future.
If you are interested in seeing all the different instruments (band or strings), you can check out this video. It's a piece of music called "The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra" and was written by a British composer named Benjamin Britten. It features each instrument section individually, as well as larger instrument groups.
