Welcome to First Grade!

My name is Bridget Lipski. I am very excited to be teaching first grade here at the Shawsheen Elementary School. The Shawsheen has been my home for the last nine years. I have had many different roles within the school. I began at the Shawsheen as a substitute but have fulfilled roles such as a one on one aide, an educational assistant, student teacher, and as a long term substitute for a Second Grade class. This is my seventh year as a First Grade Teacher. Prior to working in Wilmington, I worked as a Building Based Educator and a Long Term Substitute Teacher for PreSchool in Lawrence. I have worked with a wide variety of students including ELL, Autistic, ADHD, learning disabilities and behavioral challenges.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Management from UMass-Lowell and received my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from American International College. My teaching licenses are in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.

My teaching experience has given me an opportunity to work with students of all ages from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds as well as students with special needs. Along with my teaching skills, I bring a positive attitude, creative energy and an enthusiastic demeanor to the classroom. My goal is to develop a positive learning environment, where each student is able to learn and succeed.
