#### Week of 4/24

 This week in math we will be taking our test over Chapter 11 dealing with area and perimeter on Monday.  The rest of the week, we will be working on our last chapter in math.  We will start by describing plane shapes, describing angles in plane shapes, identifying polygons, describing sides of polygons, classifying quadrilaterals, drawing quadrilaterals, and describing triangles. (3.G.A.1)

 This week in math we will be working on understanding what area is, measuring area, using area models, and working on problem solving with area of rectangles. (3.MD.C.5, 3.MD.C.5a, 3.MD.C.6, 3.MD.C.7, 3.MD.C.7a, 3.MD.C.7b)

#### Week of 4-3

 This week in math we are going to start off on Monday reviewing time: how many minutes in an hour, and elapsed time.  On Tuesday we will take our test over time.  Wednesday through Friday we will start chapter 11 by modeling perimeter, finding perimeter, and finding unknown side lengths.  This week in math we will continue with Chapter 10 talking about estimating and measuring liquid volume, estimating and measuring mass, solving problems about liquid volume and mass, and reviewing for our test over chapter 10.  We will test over chapter 10 the following Monday. (3.MD.A.2)

 This week in math we are going to start off by reviewing elapsed time, then we will continue with chapter 10 by doing a problem solving lesson with time intervals, working on measuring length in inches, estimating and measuring liquid volume, and estimating and measuring mass. (3.MD.A.1, 3.MD.B.4, 3.MD.A.2)

 This week in math we will be starting chapter 10.  We will talk about time to the minute, A.M. and P.M., measure time intervals, using time intervals, and completing problem solving with time intervals.  (3.MD.A.1)

 This week in math we will start off by doing a fun activity involving M&Ms and fractions. Then on Tuesday we will be reviewing what we've learned in chapter 9, on Wednesday we will take our assessment over chapter 9, and the rest of the week we will be doing some review and quizzes over the math concepts covered so far this school year.

 This week in math we will be continuing with chapter 9 on fractions.  We will be looking at comparing fractions with the same numerator, comparing fractions, comparing and ordering fractions, and modeling equivalent fractions. (3.NF.A.3a, 3.NF.A.3d)

#### Week of 2/13

 This week in math we will be reviewing on Monday for our test on Tuesday over fractions.  Wednesday we will start our next chapter, which is also on fractions.  We will be working on a problem solving that compare fractions, and we will be doing a lesson on comparing fractions with the same denominator.  This week in math we will be working on relating fractions and whole numbers, fractions of a group, finding parts of a group using unit fractions, working on problem solving with finding the whole group using unit fractions, and finishing the week by reviewing for our first test over fractions. (3.NF.A.3c, 3.NF.A.1)
