Literary, Fine, and Technical Arts Magazine
The Thirsty Elephant(TTE) is Waukegan High School's literary, fine, and technical arts magazine.
The magazine is entirely digital, from submissions to publication. Located in Waukegan, Illinois, midway between Milwaukee and Chicago on the western shore of Lake Michigan, Waukegan High School has a large diverse population and offers a multitude of opportunities for students to develop their talents.
The staff of the TTE encourages all student body members to submit works for publication.
The Thirsty Elephant(TTE), Waukegan High School's literary, fine, and technical arts magazine is recruiting members and taking submissions for the 2022-2023 school year. ALL Waukegan High School Students ARE WELCOME to Join
Joining your high school literary magazine can be a great way to get involved with other creative individuals. As a member of TTE, you will have the chance to read and talk about literature and art, evaluate fellow students' works for publication, create an entire magazine from scratch, develop your post-secondary portfolio, and just have a great time being part of a Waukegan High School legacy. If you decide to become a member, you'll also get the chance to build valuable leadership skills. Having this on your job and college applications looks good too.
The magazine is entirely digital, from submissions to publication. The magazine is trying to be as accessible as possible to our students and try a non-traditional time.
Support The Cause:
The Thirsty Elephant is collecting mascara brushes to support Wands for Wildlife.
Do you want to help the little, cute, fuzzy, lovey, forest critters who have been injured or abandoned? Bring yours, your mother's, your sister's, and your bestie's cleaned old mascara brushes to room 236 at the WC.
Just gently wash and dry those brushes, put them in a plastic ziplock bag, and drop them off.
Those little animals thank you, and so does your Thirsty Elephant Staff.
