Restore or back up your workout history

You can export your workout data in GPX! This will allow you to view them in the other apps or websites! Cardiotrainer will still have all your data after exporting as well!

How do I back up my workout history?

Go to [Settings] from Home screen > Click [Backup] > Click [Backup] button in the Backup dialog!

How do I restore my workout history on my new phone?

CardioTrainer allows you to restore your workout history so when you switch to a new phone, you can transfer the data from your old phone!
  1. On your old phone, go to [Settings] > Click [Backup] > Click [Backup] button in the Backup dialog.

  2. There are 2 ways to export your file.

    1. (On desktop) Use an Android file browser to download the exported files

    2. (On your phone, using an app that transfers your backup file ex. dropbox) Make sure you choose “cardiotrainer/backup” on your phone > Copy this folder > Move this file to “Cardiotrainer” folder on your new phone

  3. On your new phone, go to [Settings] > Click [Backup/Export] > Click [Restore]

  4. You should be able to see your data on your new phone!



How do I export my workout history?

1. Go to [Settings] > Click [Export to .GPX] > Click [Export to .GPX] button in the Export to .GPX dialog.

2. There are 2 ways to export your file.


On your desktop

a. Plug your phone into a device or computer *This will require an Android file browser to download the exported files.
b. You will see something like this popping up on your screen

c. Navigate to the cardiotrainer/export folder
d. Drag the GPX file to your desktop
e. Open http://www.mygpsfiles.com/app/ in your browser.
f. Drag and drop the GPX file onto the webpage
g. You should see the route show up on the map!


Using an app that transfers your backup file (ex. dropbox)

a. Make sure you choose “cardiotrainer/backup” on your phone > Copy this folder > Move this file to “Cardiotrainer” folder on your new phone


3. On your new phone, go to [settings] > click [Backup/Export] > click [Restore]
4. You should be able to see your data on your new phone!
