Lieutenant John E. Quicci


Lieutenant John Quicci is in direct supervision of the squads of Sergeant Walter Calame, and Sergeant Ken Saal.  Lieutenant Quicci works directly on Sergeant Calame's shift.
 
Lieutenant Quicci started his career with the Wooster Police Department in 1984 as an auxiliary officer.  During his two years as an auxiliary officer, he attended the Wayne County Sheriffs Department Academy, and received his Ohio Peace Officer’s Certification.  He applied for a job with the Tampa Florida Police Department and was hired in July of 1986.  He served with the Tampa Police Department until August of 1989.  While employed with the Tampa Police Department he worked street patrol and was then transferred to street level narcotics unit, where he spent the remainder of his employment with the department. 
 
Lieutenant Quicci was hired by the Wooster Police Department on September 18th 1989.  He worked street patrol until 1993 at which time he was assigned to the Detective Bureau.  In November of 1995 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. In 2001 he was promoted to Lieutenant.  He spent 14 years on the S.W.A.T. team and currently serves as the supervisor of the department’s Honor Guard. 
 
Lieutenant Quicci has attended numerous training classes throughout his law enforcement career. He is a graduate of Northwestern University's Police Staff and Command School, Police Executive Leadership College, P.E.L.C., and Leadership Wooster.
