Woodward had two varsity teams compete at the St. Mark's Heart of Texas Invitational this past weekend in Dallas. Sophomores Roshni Kailar and Arjun Shah represented Woodward in the Sophomore Hoe-Down with a very impressive 7-5 record. The pair was very close to breaking at the round robin style tournament, and competed very well for one of the biggest tournaments of the year. Roshni was the 4th speaker in her pod.
In the varsity division, junior Sahil Patel and sophomore Liliana Burgess finished with a 3-3 record. Although the pair didn't make it to elimination rounds, Lilliana was one of the very few sophomores in the division, and the team managed to beat several very strong opponents. For both pairs, their records and efforts at such a huge national tournament were very impressive.
