Quarterfinalists, 2nd Speaker at Milton Eagle Classic

Coming off their impressive Pine Crest performance, the War Eagles were back in action the following weekend closer to home as seniors Nasir Nanjee and Rahim Shakoor competed in the Milton Eagle Classic at Milton High School. Featuring a field of 41 teams from 13 schools, the tournament cleared to octafinals after five preliminary rounds. Nasir and Rahim finished the prelims with a 4-1 record, defeating teams from Westminster (twice), Riverwood International, and Alpharetta while dropping a close decision to Chattahoochee.The third seed, Woodward defeated a third Westminster team on a 3-0 decision in the octafinals before losing on a 2-1 decision to yet another Westminster team in the quarterfinals. In addition to their accomplishment as a team, Rahim was the tournament's second speaker while Nasir finished 17th.
