JV Championship at Grady High School

Woodward Junior Varsity debaters took first place at the first annual Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Invitational Speech and Debate Tournament: “The Dream Continues” at Henry W. Grady High School in Atlanta.  Nikhil Mardhekar ’15 and Arjun Srinivasan ’18 bested teams from across the state to win the championship on a 3-0 decision.  Srinivasan was the 2nd speaker and Mardhekar was the 3rd. These results are particularly impressive given that this was Srinivasan’s high school debut — he spent the fall as an 8th grader on our Woodward Academy Middle School team.
