NSDA Academic All-Americans

The National Speech and Debate Association honors students who have excelled in debate and in the classroom with its Academic All-American Award. Only the top two percent of NSDA member students receive this distinguished award. 

To be eligible, students must:

• earn the Degree of Superior Distinction (750 points) in the NSDA Honor Society through speech and debate competition and service

• earn a GPA of 3.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent), or earn a GPA between 3.5 and 3.7 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) and receive an ACT score of 27 or higher or an SAT score of 1300 or higher

• demonstrate outstanding character and leadership

Since 2016, 22 Woodward students have earned the NSDA's Academic All-American Award.
