NSDA Academic All-Americans
The National Speech and Debate Association honors students who have excelled in debate and in the classroom with its Academic All-American Award. Only the top two percent of NSDA member students receive this distinguished award.Â
To be eligible, students must:
earn the Degree of Superior Distinction (750 points) in the NSDA Honor Society through speech and debate competition and service
earn a GPA of 3.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent), or earn a GPA between 3.5 and 3.7 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) and receive an ACT score of 27 or higher or an SAT score of 1300 or higher
demonstrate outstanding character and leadership
Since 2016, 22 Woodward students have earned the NSDA's Academic All-American Award.
