I hope everyone had a fabulous Labor Day weekend.  Today the kiddos will have a September calendar clipped in their planner.  This calendar is to mark how much your child reads each night.  Please write the minutes and initial the date to indicate your child has read.  I am asking for each child to read 20 minutes 5 nights a week for a total of 100 minutes a week.  I know we all have busy schedules and some nights your kiddo may read more and some nights they may not have time to read but please aim for the 100 minutes per week.  I will be keeping track of how many minutes your child reads and will reward them throughout the school year.
