WORLD STUDIES:
This
is a World History/Geography/Current Events course that encourages
students to understand the modern world by investigating how past and
current situations have shaped cultures and societies around the globe. Each unit will feature research projects/presentations and Socratic seminars.
| WORLD AFTER 1945:
This
course investigates different themes that have affected our world since
the end of WWII. We will study cultural differences, geography, and
political, social, and economic changes that have affected our global
society. Students will be encouraged to think critically, analyze primary sources, and come to their own conclusions on some of today's controversial topics. Units- Genocide, Global Trade, Terrorism, Nuclear Weapons |
