The US History 2 course continues the thematic and chronological approach to the study of American History from the Progressive Movement to the present.  The course attempts to develop an understanding of the background of significant issues and events that have and will continue to shape our history.  The reading of primary and secondary sources is included, and writing historical arguments is an integral part of the program.  In Academic US History 2 assistance in reading, writing, and analytical skills will be offered through short supplemental readings.  Students in Academic level classes will use a variety of tools to develop skills necessary for both college preparation and effective citizenship.
