Jabbar Beig is the Executive GLAD Officer for BE GLAD. He is also a teacher, licensed marriage and family therapist, and Certified Project GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Design) Trainer. He has been involved with GLAD for over 20 years. As one of the most veteran trainers in the country, he has been dubbed the “GLAD Guru” and has a rich knowledge of the history of GLAD. 

Jabbar is also an Authorized Sheltered English Immersion Trainer for the Arizona Department of Education. His background includes: neurolinguistics, child development, biopsychology, and memory. He has taught grades pre-K to 12. However, his passion for teaching goes beyond those areas. Jabbar has been a part of multiple clinical studies at the Institute of Human Development at the University of California - Berkeley, where he worked in the Psychoacoustic Laboratory, the Calvin Lab, and the Hinshaw ADD/ADHD Institute. Currently, he empowers teachers with instructional practices that have eliminated the achievement gap in schools throughout the country.
