Regarding February 21st:
An Integration District Focused on Student Success
On February 12th, the WMEP Joint Powers Board voted to modify this year's school calendar to include three additional student days in June to make up for the three days that were lost to dangerously cold weather in January. You may read Superintendent Jett's letter here.
The Administrative recommendation to make up the school day missed on February 21st will be to have students attend school on . That day is currently scheduled to be a non-school day for students and a professional development day for staff.
If approved, the calendar for April 25th would be:
With this change, students will receive the required 1,020 hours of instruction for the year.
The Joint Powers Board will act on this recommendation at its regular meeting on March 12th.
