Mr. Quinten Petersen - Director of Bands
        Quinten Petersen is the director of bands at Wisconsin Lutheran High School where he conducts the marching band, concert band, jazz ensemble, and other small ensembles. Prior to his call to WLHS, Mr. Petersen taught in the choral department at Arrowhead Union High School and assisted as a marching band staff member at Lakeside Lutheran High School and WLHS. Quinten holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Instrumental Music, Choral Music, and Education from Wisconsin Lutheran College (Milwaukee, WI).
        As an accomplished percussionist, singer and pianist, Mr. Petersen has performed in a variety of ensembles around the United States, Canada, England and Ireland. Solo performances include many honors ensembles, clinics, workshops, and masterclasses. Quinten performed at the 50th anniversary of the Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Indianapolis, IN in 2011 with Mr. James A. Sewrey.  He is an active member of Chant Claire Chamber Choir and founded Cream City Percussion.
        Mr. Petersen resides in West Allis, and attends St. John's Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa.


Mrs. Angela Hohenstein - Grade School Band/High School Assistant
        Angela is in her 12th year as a band director in the Wisconsin Lutheran High School and Middle Level Band Program.  She has conducted the Middle Level Symphonic Band & Jazz Ensemble, High School Woodwind Ensemble, High School Pep Band,Pit Orchestra and serves as the Color Guard coach for the WLHS Viking Marching Band.  Angela received her Bachelor of Arts in Instrumental and General Music Education from Wisconsin Lutheran College.
        Outside of WLHS, Angela is an administrator of the WELS Summer Band Camp--a week-long overnight band and arts camp that consists of 70 campers and 30 staff members each summer.  She also just finished her 8th year coaching the color guard with the Lutheran Vanguard of Wisconsin.  Angela enjoys playing her clarinet with the Lakeshore Symphonic Band and at churches all over the city.
        Angela lives in Menomonee Falls with her husband, Ben, and attends Grace Lutheran Church in downtown Milwaukee.


Mrs. Karen Mary Lippert - Grade School Band
        Karen brings 30 years experience as Band Director at St. John's - Lannon to her position as part-time instrumental music lesson instructor, recorder teacher and Concert Band Director for WLHS.    Karen earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters of Education and Administration from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.  She was elected into membership of the American School Band Directors Association in 2008 in recognition for developing outstanding bands.
        Karen is also Principal Conductor of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Community Concert Band and Bell Choir director for Faith Lutheran Church - Sussex.  As President of Soli Deo Gloria Institute for the Arts, Inc. she administers the highly acclaimed WELS Summer Band Camp serving middle school musicians in a week long music experience that is fondly known as "the best week of the year" by campers and staff alike. 
        Karen resides in the Village of Merton with husband Dan.  They have two grown children - Christopher (Sara) and Jessica (Steve) and two cute grandsons - Bernard and William.  Both families presently reside in California. Karen is a member of Faith Lutheran Church - Sussex and is a regular visitor at St. Paul's Muskego where Dan is a member of staff and a percussionist for their Praise Bands.
