Disney 2019

While the 2019 season is a few months away...the planning has begun. This spring will be another Disney World year for the team. We offer this trip every few years to give athletes a chance to practice in warm temperatures and have a little fun with their teammates. The trip is optional...and it does come at a cost of between $1100 and $1200. Final costs depend on the number of athletes who attend and will be determined as soon as we have the information. These are the details that we do know at this point:

  • Leave Wednesday, March 27th (afternoon non-stop flight)
  • Five nights, likely at Disney Pop Century Resort
  • Practice most mornings at the Wide World of Sports Complex
  • Four afternoon/evenings visiting the various parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios)
  • Breakfast and lunch included (dinner and souvenirs on own)
  • Return Monday, April 1st (evening non-stop flight
We will give the kids opportunities to fundraise to help defray the cost of the trip. There will be a November fundraiser (to be determined) and a January pizza sale. Last time we went on the trip the real go-getters were able to fundraise several hundred dollars to put towards their trip.

Parents and other family members are welcome to come down on the trip. You can do as much or as little as you want with the team when you are down there.

If you are interested in the trip, here are the key dates to keep in mind:

  • A $50 non-refundable deposit (per person) is due by September 28th. The sooner, the better...there are a limited number of people we can take on the trip.
  • 1/2 of the remaining balance for the trip will be due around December 1st.
  • The other 1/2 of the remaining balance will be due around February 1st.
If you have questions about the trip, please contact Head Boys Coach Brian Gottschalk (brian.gottschalk@wlhs.org or 414.321.5897) or Head Girls Coach Jason Goede (jason.goede@wlhs.org or 414.690.9350).

Want to see how your favorite WISCO athlete has competed throughout their high school career? Simple. Go to athletic.net and type in the athlete's name in the search box. You should be able to find that athlete and see every result from every meet they have competed in. It's kind of cool to see the progress these athletes have made.

If you have other questions, feel free to contact Head Boys Coach Brian Gottschalk (brian.gottschalk@wlhs.org) or Head Girls Coach Jason Goede (jason.goede@wlhs.org).
