For those who stumbled onto this page wondering what dartball is...a brief explanation.  Dartball is a game created in the Midwest in the 1920s.  It is a combination of baseball and darts.  While the boards vary from state to state, the rules of the game are generally the same.  In the WELS Dartball league, teams of six to ten players play three nine-inning games each Thursday night during the season.  Each batter stands 20 feet from a 4 ft. x 4 ft board (pictured at right) and throw 7 1/2" darts underhand at the board.  The location of the darts dictate what happens...balls and strikes, hits and outs, even double plays and home runs.  Each team gets three outs an inning, and the home team always bats second.  Men, women, and teens can all play.
