5/13: Congrats on an awesome (though uniquely bumpy) semester! We had an exceptional set of projects this year; be sure to check out all the presentations and reports here. Good luck on your future endeavors and get some well-deserved rest over the summer! Stay healthy!
5/03: The project presentation videos have been posted; the links are on Canvas. The Slack workspace has also been created (link on Canvas); each group is expected to monitor their corresponding channel from now until May 8 to answer questions from the instructor and students. Please watch all project presentation videos and offer questions to your peers in this coming week.
5/01: A reminder that final project presentation videos are due today. The submission link is here (on Canvas). A slack workspace will be constructed in the weekend for project Q&A.
4/13: For this Friday's midterm, please join the lecture discussion Webex link (on Canvas) from 1pm-2:15pm on Friday to hear any important announcements and ask any questions you may have. And Quiz 4 has been posted on Canvas. It is due 24 hours after the start of today's lecture session.
4/08: Lecture discussion and office hours will now be done using Webex via the links posted on Canvas.
4/07: The lecture discussion session tomorrow is canceled. The 4/08 video lecture will be posted by Friday.
4/06: Quiz 3 has been posted on Canvas. It is due 24 hours after the start of today's lecture session.
3/29: The link to the YouTube playlist of lecture videos has been posted on Canvas. Lecture videos will be posted no later than the morning of their scheduled lecture date.
3/27: Project final presentations will no longer be live; they will need to be recorded and uploaded on Canvas by Friday 5/01. Group members should not be meeting in-person to record the presentation. To record your presentations remotely, you are encouraged to use Zoom (or alternatively, Kaltura Capture). As part of your final presentation grade, a Slack channel will be set up from Friday 5/01 to Friday 5/08, where you will be required to answer questions about your project presentation. See the Project page for more details.
3/18: All remaining classes for the semester will be done remotely (i.e., video lectures + online discussions). Midterm exam 2 will still take place at the scheduled time and date (4/17 1-2:15pm) but will be done online via Canvas. Any remaining quizzes will now be open book+notes and will be released on Canvas; you will have 24 hours to complete each quiz. Continue to submit paper reviews and project deliverables online by their deadlines as usual. I will follow up soon with arrangements and changes to the project final presentations.
3/16: Important details regarding online lecture discussions and office hours have been posted on Canvas.
3/12: All classes from now until April 10 will be converted into video lectures. Videos will be uploaded the night before the scheduled lecture day, with the exception of this Friday's (3/13) video lecture, which will be uploaded shortly after spring break. During the scheduled lecture hours, I plan to host real-time online discussions; details will be posted later.
3/11: Please sign up for the Piazza discussion board if you have not already done so and fill in the poll regarding this Friday's (3/13) lecture.
3/06: If you've already picked up your Midterm 1 paper and lost marks in Problem 4 for including the F->F transition, contact the grader for a potential remarking of your exam. If you haven't picked up your exam, ignore this; it will automatically be remarked.
2/29: This coming Monday 3/02 class and office hours are canceled. Additional office hours scheduled for Friday 3/06 3:30-5pm.
2/19: The project topic survey deadline has been extended to Wednesday 2/26.
