Study Plan
Venue: We meet in the Glass Room on Tuesdays, Sept 24-Nov 12 (inclusive). Starting time is 10 am - we will go at least an hour and at most two hours, depending on group enthusiasm and energy.
For the first four weeks, we will study Longitudinal and Panel Data: Analysis and Applications for the Social Sciences .
For the second four weeks, we will study copulas, focusing on the text Elements of Copula Modeling with R.
The goal is to link these topics, sometimes known as "copula regression."
Background: I will assume that everyone is comfortable with the statistical package R and regression methods. If you would like additional background in these two topics, I have organized a lot of self-study material for a short course that I recently taught in Senegal entitled Insurance Analytics and Survival Modeling.
Check it out.
