Study Plan

Venue: We meet in the Glass Room on Tuesdays, Sept 24-Nov 12 (inclusive). Starting time is 10 am - we will go at least an hour and at most two hours, depending on group enthusiasm and energy.

• • For the first four weeks, we will study Longitudinal and Panel Data: Analysis and Applications for the Social Sciences .

  • For the second four weeks, we will study copulas, focusing on the text Elements of Copula Modeling with R.

  • The goal is to link these topics, sometimes known as "copula regression."

Background: I will assume that everyone is comfortable with the statistical package R and regression methods. If you would like additional background in these two topics, I have organized a lot of self-study material for a short course that I recently taught in Senegal entitled Insurance Analytics and Survival Modeling.
