Poetry Out Loud Finalists meet with Maine Poet to prepare for competition 
Students who won their Poetry Out Loud class competitions met with Maine poet, Gibson Fay-Leblanc, to prepare for the WHS school-wide Poetry Out Loud Competition on December 6th at 6:00pm in the WHS PAC. Students will have memorized two poems and will be reciting them at the competition. Seated left to right: Layne Audet, Lakin Connor, Maria Dostie, Emma Gay, Poet Gibson, Natalie Rogers, Maguire Anuszewski, Maya Deming, Vincent Scott, Nate St. Pierre, and Gabby Blanco.  Poetry Out Loud is a national competition.  Winners of the school competition go on to compete at the state level and could qualify to compete with forty-nine other state winners for first place. Congratulations to Nate St. Pierre, the Winthrop High School Poetry Out Loud Winner. He is pictured to the right of the classroom winners at their school-wide competition that was held on December 6th.

MON., NOV 13: Senior picture in DIGITAL form and PORTRAIT (up and down) orientation due along with the senior write-up--click HERE for the form.
MON., NOV 13: Senior baby picture is due-- digital is preferred, but a scanner is available at school for students to use.  (We will NOT collect any hard copy pictures from students.)
