"No one influences the future like...

PARENTS and TEACHERS!"

Welcome to my classroom! I am excited to begin another school year here at Windber Area Elementary School as the Learning Support teacher for grades 2-3! My goal is to help your child meet their greatest potential in the regular education classroom by engaging them in meaningful actvities, hands on experiences, providing repetition and remediation, as well as, implementing appropriate modifications and accommodations tailored to their individual needs.  I find that the most rewarding aspect of this profession is seeing first hand the growth and progress each child makes over time.  I am proud to call myself a Windber Rambler and look forward to a wonderful year! If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me, my door is always open!

What is inclusion?

In the context of education, inclusion, is a term that refers to the practice of educating students with special needs in the regular education classroom for all or nearly all of the day instead of in special education classrooms.  In an inclusive setting, students recieve any addition help or special instruction within the regular education classroom.

"A teacher takes a seed of PROMISE,

tends it with encouragement,

and watches as it grows...

knowing that one day it will be the fruit

that feeds the world!"
