After 6 years of serving as Windber Area Middle School and High School's Instructional Coach, I am excited to be back in the classroom for my 30th year at Windber Area School District. The Instructional Coach serves many roles in the school For example, we act as a resource provider, instructional specialist, data coach, and classroom supporter just to name a few . I am happy to take what I have learned as a coach and bring it back to my classroom instruction.
The teacher and the coach independently and systematically reflect on how their collaborative work fosters the development of the students' understanding. If this is done on an ongoing basis to re-examine goals, there will be a cycle of continuous improvement.
