I enjoy seeing my students learn something new each day, and the opportunity to learn right along with them is the best part of being a teacher. I guess I am one of Chaucer's "Perennial Students."

I attended Bemidji State University and completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with an emphasis in writing in 1997, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary English Education also from BSU in 2000, and a Master of Arts in Education from College of St. Catherine in 2003. More recently I studied American History through Hamline University and Communications through Minnesota State University Moorhead.

In addition to my high school classroom duties, I serve as yearbook advisor, senior class advisor and junior class/prom advisor.

I share my birthday with William Shakespeare.
