Announcements

Final exams will be held during the regular class meeting times:

Senior Exams — May 18th, 3rd and 4th exams and May 19th, 1st and 2ndexams.  The last day for attendance to be counted for seniors toward exemptions is May 16th.

Underclassmen Exams — May 23rd, 3rd and 4th exams and May 24th, 1st and 2nd exams.  The last day for attendace to be counted for underclassman toward exemptions is May 18th.

In regards to attendance; if students are not present on the days following the last day for exemptions above they will be marked absent, but it won’t count against the 3 absences allowed for exam exemptions.  It would count against perfect attendance and toward truancy if that applies toward your child.  This is why parent notes are important throughout the year as it excuses the student and doesn’t count toward the 10 unexcused absences that would result in a truancy petition.  Also exam days, students can be dismissed after the morning exams if they turn in a parent note to the 2nd period teacher following the exams on May 19th (seniors) and May 24th (underclassmen.)  We will not dismiss by parent phone calls on those days.  If your student misses an exam they can make it up following the scheduled exam day.  Students are not allowed to take exams early.  There will be someone here all summer!
