Current 10th and 11th Grades—2017-2018 Course Request Sheets and Skyward Request Entry due by Wednesday, Feb. 22 (REVISED) to FOCUS teachers.  Students must enter course requests on their own time through Skyward Student Access (not parent Skyward) anywhere they have internet access.  Video that explains how to enter course requests on Skyward.

·         Current 9th Graders--The counselors will visit your 2nd block classes the week of Feb. 21 to help you enter requests into Skyward. Be sure to have your course request sheet when we return to school if you did not turn it in on Feb. 13.  You may also enter them yourselves through Skyward Student Access if you have your username and password. See link above for instructions.

·         SENIORS—Don’t forget to check scholarship link on main page of school website. Lots of local scholarships added.

·         SENIORS—You still need to complete the FAFSA to see if you qualify for state or federal financial aid for college even if you don’t plan to use TN Promise.

·         TN PROMISE SENIORS—Your mandatory TN Promise meeting is March 28 @ 5:30pm at Wilson Central.  Students must attend this meeting to remain eligible for TN Promise. Parents/guardians are welcome to attend, but the student in attendance is what counts for TN Promise. Please arrive around 5pm so that you are signed in before the meeting begins.  See your green  handbook on pg. 7 and pg. 41 for information regarding attendance and STRICT excuse policy.

·         TN PROMISE SENIORS—You must submit your 8 hours of community service online on the TN Achieves website.  See green handbook pg. 24 for instructions on how to submit and the deadlines.

SENIORS - Common Application for Colleges

posted Feb 21, 2017, 5:22 AM by Pamela Mattingly

The Common Application is a way for seniors to apply to many colleges at once (must be a participating college).  Part of their application is an essay.  They have released the essay prompts for students applying to college in 2017-2018.  Might be a task for English or other classes.
