Our Leaders

Principal--Ginger Ash

Welcome to Mt. Juliet Elementary, Home of the Bears!! I am so excited and humbled to have been chosen as Principal at Mt. Juliet Elementary. Prior to becoming principal, I served as Mt. Juliet Elementary School’s assistant principal. I taught 8th grade American History at Mt. Juliet Middle School as well as 5th grade and 3rd grade at W. A. Wright Elementary. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education 1-8 from Tennessee Tech University and my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University. One of my greatest educational accomplishments was being chosen Teacher of the Year at Mt. Juliet Middle School and Teacher of the Year at W. A. Wright Elementary. I love children and believe that we should recognize their everyday success and help guide them to be life-long learners.

My husband Bill and I live in Lebanon and have two sons; Nolan and Evan. Nolan is a sophomore at Austin Peay State University where he is studying K-6 Elementary Education and performs with the Percussion Ensemble and Symphonic Orchestra. Evan is a junior at Mt. Juliet High School and loves to play hockey, basketball, and Xbox One.

I am excited to be working with all the wonderful faculty, staff, students, and parents at Mt. Juliet Elementary. I believe that a child’s parent is their first teacher….so I encourage parents to take an active role in their child’s education. By working together, we can ensure that all students have a wonderful, loving, and enriching educational experience here at Mt. Juliet Elementary.

Assistant Principal--Ranesa Shipman, Ed.S

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!

I am excited and honored to be a part of the Mt. Juliet Elementary Family! My name is Ranesa Shipman, and it is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed assistant principal at Mt. Juliet Elementary. This is my 6th year in education and working with children keeps me young at heart and inspires me to continue learning and challenging myself personally and professionally.
I’m very passionate about education and I look forward to partnering with you to provide our students with a rigorous, engaging, and high-quality elementary school experience. As the parent of two children ages 8 and 12, I recognize the importance of a strong home-school connection. Parents are every child’s first teacher and I believe that by working together, we can make sure your child’s social, emotional, and academic needs are met.
Please know that I have an open door policy and I am anxious to begin my new journey. I am here to assist you in any way and look forward to serving this community.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve your families in this role! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share.
