Lakeview Running Club Mrs. Jones Students interested in running and conditioning meet twice a week (Tues/Thurs) until 3pm. Students have a brief warm up and then run for about 30 minutes around the school. The club participates in community races throughout the year.  Available to students in grades 4-5 
Performing Club Mrs. Allen A club for students who enjoy acting, singing, and dancing - also allows for students to learn "behind the scenes" crew work (Video production may be added in the future). Available to any interested 5th graders 
Ninjas of Niceness Ms. Allen The club is for students interested in doing random acts of kindness for the school and local communities without seeking recognition for their actions.  Open to interested 5th grade students - all interested students can sign up; students are approved based on behavior in and out of the classroom 
Bear Cub Tennis Club Ms. Allen Participants will practice tennis drills and games to learn about the sport of tennis and promote a healthy lifestyle. During the "on season," the club meets weekly at the MJHS tennis courts. Available to all students in grades 4-5 - participants are chosen on a first come, first serve basis allowing for 50% 5th graders and 50% 4th graders. A waiting list is kept in case of openings. 
2nd Grade Book Club Mrs. M. Biggs/Mrs. Butler The book club meets once a month where a book is read aloud at the beginning of the meeting. Following, students participate in fun activities centered around the book. Available to 2nd grade students (allowing 20 students each month - first come, first serve - students sign up through Sign Up Genius a week prior) 
Garden Club Kathy Tennant, Lead Lakeview, along with the Wilson County School Nutrition Department, offers an after school gardening class. Participants will attend classes throughout the spring and fall. There is no fee for this class. Class will meet as needed and dates will be determined by the team leader. Students and team members will prepare and eat the items grown in the gardens. Open to K-5 students. Each student must submit a short paragraph explaining why they would like to be selected for the Garden Club and attach to the application.  
5th Grade Book Club Ms. Allen A club for reading and discussing books  Available to 5th graders that read the selected book each month 
School Newsletter Club Ms. Allen/Mrs. Horn/Mrs. Jones A club for students interested in producing a school newsletter Available to 5th grade students that are interested in writing for the newsletter - students interested in editing positions have to be recommended by a Reading/Language Arts teacher.
