Tracey Burge, Principal

I am fortunate to serve Lakeview Elementary as your school principal. Before serving Lakeview, I was a special education teacher and eventually assistant principal at W.A. Wright Elementary. I am originally from Pensacola, Florida, which is where I met my Tennessee native husband serving in the U.S. Navy. We were fortunate to be State-side for his 10 years of service and called the beautiful cities of Charleston, South Carolina and Virginia Beach, Virginia home during that time. Knowing we wanted to start our family and be in his hometown, we moved to Wilson County after his service.
Fast forward to now, I could not imagine living in any other place than Mt. Juliet. My husband and I are blessed that our two sons, Jacob and Jonathan, are surrounded by a strong and faithful community that supports one another. With that being said, my belief is that we must work together to educate and prepare our most precious treasures to become community and world leaders. It is the responsibility of the administration, faculty, staff, parents, students, and community to prepare students for the challenges and successes that await them. We are setting the foundation for students to succeed in the years ahead. Together, we will accomplish our goal!

It is her belief that parents, students, teachers, school staff, and the surrounding community all work together, as a family, for the common goal of not only educating our young people and providing them with the academic skills that they need but to also nurture the individuals that they are so they will become responsible, engaged young citizens.
