Wilson County Schools has developed a salary plan that pays teachers for their performance, regardless of their degrees.

We start teachers who are new to our system on a base salary schedule, but we do not refer to years of experience after that starting point. All raises are based on TEAM scores of 3, 4, or 5.  All raises are cumulative just like a current step raise.  Once you receive a raise, it will not be taken away from you and you will have the ability to earn another raise again the next year.

Teachers with more than 20 years still have the opportunity to receive an annual performance increase. There is no cap over 20 years as there is in most pay plans.

The system we have in place provides up to $297,476 more income over a 30 year teaching career.
