A Principal’s Welcome

Principal Mary Ashby

As Principal of the Wilson County Adult High School, it is my privilege and honor to welcome you to our school.  I have been in education for 38 years and served as the AHS Principal for 5 years.  I am married to Jim Ashby, and we have two adult sons, Justin and Ryan.  We also have a daughter-in-law, Susan, and granddaughters Addison and Annabelle.

If the Adult High School may be of assistance in helping you obtain your high school diploma, please contact us. All necessary information is on our website. We will direct you to success. We truly are a school which can help you turn your dreams into reality.  Earning your high school diploma is just the beginning for your successful future.

“Excellence in All We Do” is spotlighted daily at our school.  In the past five years, I have been a part of five graduations and 579 diplomas have been earned.  We welcome you to be a part of our success and become a future AHS graduate.

The mission of the Adult High School is to encourage adult students and to assist them in completing their high school program. The appropriate learning environment for an adult student is flexible, competency-based, and designed to develop the student's academic skills for future employment and career success.
