April 2017 - Supply Drive for Evanston Animal Shelter and Wilmette Pet Shop. New & gently used items were collected for local animal shelters. Items included rubber gloves, bedding, towels, toys, collars, leashes, bleach & paper towels. 

February 2017: Classroom elections were held. The first Student Council meeting will be on Friday Feb 17 at 8 am in the Learning Commons. 

November 28- December 15th - Food Drive for Wilmette Food Pantry. 

October 2016 : Classroom elections were held. The first Student Council meeting will be on Friday at 8 am in room 105, Mrs. Pike's room.

Spirit Days: Chciago Spirit Day! School-Wide PJ day! Crazy Hair Day! 
Fort Central opened: October 13th, 15th, 20th, 22nd, 27th & 29th. November 3rd, 6th, 10th and 12th. 
2 third graders and 2 fourth graders too supervision duty each day. 

News: 

February 12th - First meeting for spring representatives!

February 1st - 4th - Spring Student Council Elections were held in each classroom.

January 15th, 2016: Homeless Shelter Benefit! Mention Central Elementary School at the Valley Lodge Tavern (1141 Central Ave, Wilmette) to have a portion of the proceeds to go towards a local homeless shelter. 11 am to 2 pm for lunch, 5 pm to 8 pm for dinner. $350 was raised and donated to two local homeless shelters - one in Evanston and one in South Chicago. Thank you to everyone who participated! 

October 21st - Tingey Store opens! 

October 13th - Central Fort opens! 

September 2015 : Classroom elections will be held from September 14th to the 21st. The first Student Council meeting will be on Friday September 25th at 8 am in room 105, Mrs. Pike's room.

Spirit Days: Dress up like your parents! Dress up like your favorite book character!
Fort Central opened April 22nd, 29th, May 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th. 2 third graders and 2 fourth graders took supervision duty each day.
News
March 2015: We are pleased to announce that we are collecting items for the Orphans of the Storm animal shelter! Gently used or new towels, blankets, dog toys & treats, cat toys & treats, and baking soda are just some of the items you can bring into the lobby to be donated to the animal shelter. We are pleased to have the Green Team partnering with us in this drive! They will be collecting newspapers to be reused by the shelter. 
February 2015 : On Friday, February 13th, Fall and Spring Student Council Reps will meet in a joint meeting to take our yearbook photo! See you in Mrs. Pike's room at 8:30 am! 
December 2014 : The Central School Student Council proudly announces the creation of Jared Boxes! These shoe boxes will be filled with gifts and given to chronically ill children in the hostpital. They are meant to "symbolize the importance of play and are filled with well wishes, hope and love."

Student Council Reps announced to our classrooms the collection of items for our Jared Boxes. We are asking for students to collect items by grade level. Collection boxes are located around the building and in the lobby. The Student Council members will empty the collection boxes and fill the individual shoe boxes before delivering to a local hospital at a later date.
First Grade is asked to donate arts and crafts supplies
Second Grade is asked to donate toys or books
Third Grade is asked to donate stickers
Fourth Grade is asked to donate cards, notes, drawings, well wishes or books
