WiER 2019

We are excited to announce the Women in Economic Research (WiER) conference for 2019! It will be held at Williams College on April 20th, 2019. The program will consist of a full day of research presentations by undergraduate students, a keynote by economist Jennifer Doleac, and mentoring and networking opportunities. The day's program will run from 9:30am to 6:30pm, followed by a dinner for speakers.

The conference seeks to encourage women and nonbinary undergraduate students to participate in economic research and to see themselves as economists. Attendees will share and learn about exciting research in a supportive environment intended to build networks and foster enthusiasm. We will target our solicitation of interest to schools within a three-hour driving distance because we do not provide travel funding, but we will consider research submissions regardless of the student's location.

The deadline for abstract submissions has now passed. Selected presenters will be notified in late March. We will also solicit interest in attendance by non-presenting Williams students in late March.  Unfortunately we do not have space to invite non-presenting students from other institutions.
