Take a "quack" at winning groceries for a year --
a $2,600 value!
That's the top prize when the 2009 Wild Rivers Ducky Derby races on the Chetco River on Sunday, Sept. 20, at Loeb State Park.
You can adopt a lucky ducky for just $10. If it's the first one down the rapids to the finish line, you win the top prize. The "groceries for a year" prize has been donated by Ray's Food Place.
The family-friendly events along the bank of the Chetco River will start at 10 a.m. on race day, with the race itself set for noon.
Best of all, your entire adoption fee goes to charitable projects. Watch for Webster, the derby's inflatable mascot, at sales locations starting soon.
