Debunking Myths and Addressing Controversies in Medicine

"
Half of what you’ll learn in medical school will be shown to be either
dead wrong or out of date within five years of your graduation; the trouble is that nobody can tell you which half."  -David Sackett
This website is intended as a forum for discussion regarding controversial issues in medicine and debunking medical dogma that is not supported by evidence.  Through a collaboration among readers, dissemination of information will allow more informed decision-making.  In addition, I hope it will provide exposure to variations in clinical practice, and knowledge and opinions regarding management strategies, in order to improve the practice of medicine for us all.

Note: This site does not attempt to answer the question, "Why did I go to medical school?"

This forum is open to anyone who wishes to contribute.
