Prerequisite: Algebra 2
Graduation Requirement:  Mathematics

Algebra 3 is designed for senior students. Enrollment in Algebra 3 is predicated on student’s prior knowledge in Algebra 2. Students in this course will have regular opportunities to use a graphing calculator to explore higher-level concepts.

In this course students will focus on a deeper study of college algebra based topics including functions, logarithmic and exponential expressions, probability, financial literacy and trigonometry as they relate to real-life situations.  This course will strengthen student’s conceptual understanding of mathematical reasoning based the basic math core sequence. Familiarity with taught concepts is germane for student’s intending to study calculus, physics, and engineering.
