Welcome to American History
    Our students will study the history of the United States from the early colonial period through the 1900's. Historical content focuses on the economic, political, and social issues during this time period. We will examine the American beliefs and principles reflected in the United States Constitution and other primary documents. We will also study the rights and responsibility of citizens.
The first semester we will cover:

The American Revolution
The Articles of Confederation
The U.S. Constitution
The Early Presidents

The Second semester we will cover:

Foreign Policies/ Domestic issues
The Industrial Revolution
The War of 1812
Westward Expansion
The Reform Era
Causes of the Civil War/ Civil War
The Gilded Age

Our textbook is The American Nation, James West Davidson (Prentice Hall, 2015)
