Bio: Michael Pickett has been teaching in the White County School System starting 1996. He spent five years at White County Middle School. He is started work in White County High School in 2000. He conducts all of the instrumental music ensembles, which include the Warrior Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Percussion Ensemble, and other wind chamber groups at both the Ninth Grade Academy and High School. Mr. Pickett has been named star teacher two times during his time at White County High School. Mr. Pickett received his undergraduate degree in music education from the State University of West Georgia in 1996. While at West Georgia, Mr. Pickett was the woodwind section leader for the West Georgia Marching Braves. He also received a Masters degree in music education from the University of Georgia in 2007. He is a member of the Georgia Music Educators Association, MENC, and Phi Mu Alpha music fraternity. He resides in Cleveland with his wife, Christie, and three boys, Ethan, Ashton, and Aiden.
