Mrs. Karri Christy
Instructor of: Special Education
This is my twelfth year as an educator, nine of which have been in White County. I was motivated to pursue my current teaching position because of my own son, Brady. Brady has a mitochondrial disorder, autism, and epilepsy. Raising a child like Brady has opened my eyes and heart to those around us who face different challenges. I find myself in the roles of researcher, activist, advocate, and educator when it comes to learning and sharing knowledge regarding different disabilities and the best practices to help those with special needs learn about the world around them and their very special place in it. I want parents to know that I will work very hard this year to guide their children to new discoveries and adventures.
