SHOW ME CHAPTER OF THE SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION SOCIETY

The Show-Me Chapter offers a $2000 scholarship for a high school senior, or undergraduate, planning to major in conservation or a natural resources-related field. This is an essay contest. Information can be found at http://www.moswcs.org/scholarship/. Please encourage any eligible students to apply. Applications must be postmarked by November 26th (Monday after Thanksgiving).


CONSERVATION FOUNDATION SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP

CFMO offers 5 - $1000 scholarships to high school seniors or undergraduates in different natural resources areas. Preference will be given to those demonstrating financial need. VOICE OF DEMOCRACY

Established in 1947, our Voice of Democracy audio-essay program provides high school students with the unique opportunity to express themselves in regards to a democratic and patriotic-themed recorded essay. PROJECT 21 SCHOLARSHIP

The Missouri Gaming Association is pleased to announce the 2019 Project 21 Scholarship Program. This is the twenty-third year the scholarships will be awarded. The goal of the scholarship program is to not only to inform our youth that it is not permissible in Missouri for persons under the age of 21 to gamble in a casino, but also to educate them about the dangers and consequences associated with underage gambling. The Project 21 Scholarship Program provides Missouri students an opportunity to disseminate their message by writing an article or creating a poster or video addressing the issue of underage gambling. One (1) $2,500.00 first prize scholarship and Three (3) $1,500.00 second prize scholarships will be awarded. We would ask that you distribute the attached scholarship application to all Missouri High School Seniors who might be interested in applying for the scholarships using the criteria outlined in the application. NATIONAL YOUNG ARTS PROGRAM

Actors, dancers, filmmakers, musicians, photographers, singers, visual artists, and writers are invited to apply for YoungArts if you are ages 15-18 or in grades 10-12. WENDY'S HIGH SCHOOL HEISMAN SCHOLARSHIP

This program is designed to recognize students who are high achievers in academics, community service, and athletics. This is a national competition. The competition will be judged in equal importance of: Athletic Participation/Achievement, Academic Performance, and Community and School Involvement. To apply, go to www.wendysheisman.com. HORATIO ALGER ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

The Horatio Alger Association annually awards more than $11 million in college scholarships and grants. The scholarship program provides financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Scholarship criteria also include commitment to pursue a bachelor's degree. Online applications are available at scholars.horatioalger.org. Deadline: October 25.



COCA-COLA SCHOLARS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS SCHOLARSHIPS

PRUDENTIAL SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY AWARD

If you’ve made a difference through volunteering over the past year, you could win $1,000 and a trip to Washington D.C. next May by applying for the Prudential Spirit of Community Award. To apply, visit www.nassp.org/spirit or http://spirit.prudential.com. To be eligible, you will need to apply and then go to the Certification Page to email or print out instructions for your certifier (Dr. Geurin) by the November 6 deadline.


HAGAN SCHOLARSHIP

Seniors who have at least a 3.50 GPA, a 23 or higher on the ACT, and who demonstrate financial need are invited to apply for the Hagan Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to reward a high achieving student who has meaningful work or volunteer experience and who aspires to obtain a college education in order to realize his or her full potential. TYLER PHIPPS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

The Tyler Phipps Memorial Scholarship Foundation was established in the memory of Tyler Lee Phipps, 2003 graduate of Ozark High School and 2008 graduate of York College. This $3500 scholarship was established in honor of Tyler and to provide opportunities for others, like him, on their path to leadership success. The Tyler Phipps Foundation will help provide opportunities to high achieving individuals. The scholarship will provide funds to assist in the advanced education in the agriculture and produce industries. MIKE ROWE WORKS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP (MIDWEST TECHNICAL INSTITUTE)

If you are interested in attending MTI, scholarship information is available at https://midwesttech.edu/scholarship. The application through the Mike Rowe Works Foundation involves registering for the program, completing the application, submitting a video, and attending a campus tour to complete an applicable program assessment and meet with financial aid.


BRAXTON RETHWISCH SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship is available to high school seniors who exhibit a commitment to learning and have demonstrated leadership skills and community service involvement. Two one-time $1,000 scholarships will be awarded, as well as a one-time $500 scholarship (this year only). NOTE: Applicants must enroll as a full-time student at a MOACAC member post-secondary institution. Deadline: March 1st. Eligibility criteria/application


SCHOLARS HELPING COLLARS SCHOLARSHIP Pet Lifestyle And You (P.L.A.Y.)

This $1,000 scholarship rewards one student who can tell the best story, describing the impact he or she made in the life of a rescue animal or animal welfare cause in general. Scholarship Link: https://www.petplay.com/scholarship/


KANSAS CITY ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT DISTRIBUTORS SCHOLARSHIP

The Kansas City Associated Equipment Distributors awards up to four annual scholarships in the amount of $1000 each. Both men and women attending a vocational/technical school, and pursuing a certificate or associates degree in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Equipment Repair, are eligible to apply. Applicants must be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Application includes a 750-1000 essay, recommendation letters, and other necessary application and transcript paperwork. Applications are available in the Guidance Center. Postmark deadline is February 1.


JAMES & NELLIE WESTLAKE SCHOLARSHIP

Seniors who have at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate limited financial resources (adjusted gross income of $50,000 or less) are invited to apply. Applications are available at https://www.scholarsapply.org/westlake/. Postmark deadline is February 1.


NATIONAL FFA ORGANIZATION SCHOLARSHIP

Current senior FFA members who plan to be full-time students in a post-secondary institution should visit www.ffa.org/participate/scholarships to download a copy of the application for various FFA scholarships. Deadline is February 1.


JAMES L. AND NELLIE M. WESTLAKE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship Foundation was established in 1981 pursuant to the provisions of the wills of James L. and Nellie M. Westlake for the purpose of assisting Missouri residents in pursuing a college education. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited four-year institution of the student's choice. Go to https://www.scholarsapply.org/westlake/. ESA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP ESA International is a philanthropic service organization with state councils in 39 states and Australia who operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The ESA Foundation awarded over $200,000 in scholarships last year to worthy recipients. ED STEGNER NATURAL RESOURCE Scholarships

The Foundation’s Ed Stegner Natural Resource Scholarships were established to provide major financial aid to encourage and assist students in five areas of natural resource management: Fisheries, Forestry, Wildlife, Parks and Recreation and Soil and Water conservation. NATIONAL MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP

High school seniors who have MS or who have a parent with MS are invited to apply for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Scholarship. Applicants must plan to attend an accredited post-secondary school at a two or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States. Most awards are between $1000-$3000. AXA ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP

This program is awarding $670,000 to AXA Achievers. To qualify, you should be well rounded, determined to succeed, and have achieved excellence outside the classroom--at a job, sport, or extracurricular activity. GEORGE C. BROOKS SCHOLARSHIP (MU-COLUMBIA)

Students from ethnic groups including African-American, Hispanic, and Native American are eligible for this $7500 scholarship. High school seniors who wish to apply must have a minimum ACT score of 25. Interested applicants must apply for admission to MU and submit official transcripts and test scores no later than December 15. MSU PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Seniors planning to attend Missouri State University who have a 30 or higher on the ACT and rank in the top 10% of their class are encouraged to apply for the Presidential Scholarship. The application can be found at www.missouristate.edu/presidentialapp. Deadline to apply is December 1.


MSU INCLUSIVE EXCELLENCE LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP & DIVERSITY IN EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

Seniors planning to attend Missouri State University who have demonstrated academic achievement and a commitment to becoming a leader in an inclusive society are invited to apply for this $5000 scholarship! Recipients of this scholarship will be chosen by the Inclusive Excellence Scholarship Selection Committee. The goal of the committee will be to select a cohort of students each year who have a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences and who seek the opportunity to contribute to the University’s goal of creating a climate of inclusive excellence. Students will be selected based on their academic record, their combination of school, community, and family involvement and activities, and their demonstrated commitment to becoming a leader in an inclusive society. MSU ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

If you qualify, or would like to qualify, for an MSU automatic academic scholarship (minimum ACT range 24-28), the last ACT test date you can use to raise your score is December 2018 (October if you are applying for the Presidential Scholarship). If you would like an opportunity to raise your score to qualify, please make sure you sign up for the October or December test dates. MISSOURI UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (ROLLA)—CHANCELLOR’S SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is for the upper 10% of the senior graduating class after 6 semesters. It also requires an ACT score of at least 31. This application involves writing a 750-word essay and a 200-word analysis of leadership activities. Applications and more information are available at http://sfa.mst.edu/chancellors/. We understand a single injury can affect a person's life forever and we'd like to help a student who has been negatively affected by an injury.

THE MISSOURI JCI SENATE SCHOLARSHIP

$1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the United States who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools.The Missouri JCI Senate will pick 2 nominees to represent Missouri for the US JCI Senate scholarships. The Missouri JCI Senate will present these 2 winners each a $250 scholarship. There will be four $250 scholarships given. This is available to Missouri residents only.
