*ON MY OWN, INC SCHOLARSHIP

To be eligible you must be the child of a disabled parent or disabled child themselves; must be seeking a degree to help people with disabilities such as medical, special education, social services, therapy and/or mental health fields; must attend a Missouri college, university, or vocational school; 2.0 GPA or higher. Application is available here. Applications should be mailed no later than April 13, 2018.

*HAWTHORN BANK SCHOLARSHIP

Hawthorn Bank awards $1,000 scholarships to four deserving high school seniors to help them complete their education. Just answer a few questions, write a couple of short essays and you could be one of the winners.Click here for application. Application must be postmarked by March 31, 2018.


*OZARKS COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER SCHOLARSHIP

Five $1000 scholarships will be awarded to a high school Seniors residing in Hickory and Dallas Counties entering school for medical, dental or behavioral health. Applications are available here or may be picked up a the Ozarks Community Health Center. Application must be postmarked by February 28, 2018.


CMH MEDICAL EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP                                                                                                                                              The Medical Excellence program began in 1991 through Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation. The program is available for employees and non-employees. Students who are accepted as a recipient will receive assistance from CMH for their program and in return the terms of the contract will begin after the program graduation in years of service returned to our organization. To be eligible for a scholarship, the student must be seeking a healthcare related field and live in our service area. This can be a wide variety of fields (nursing, physical and occupation therapy, doctoral, health care administration, social work, etc.)  Click here for application. Application must be postmarked by February 28, 2018.

HAMMETT, BELLIN & OSWALD LAW & JUSTICE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is for all first-year college freshman who will be attending an accredited College/University during the 2018-2019 school year (current seniors).
Requirements:
- Applicant must be enrolled in and plan to attend a college/university during the 2018-2019 school year.
- Proof of enrollment to an accredited college/university.
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Deadline: 
- The application deadline is May 31, 2018.
- LATE and INCOMPLETE applications will not be considered.

AMERICAN LEGION DEPARTMENT OF MO SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship awards are available for descendants of a veteran who had at least ninety days active service in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard, who received an Honorable Discharge for such service. TYLER PHIPPS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

The Tyler Phipps Memorial Scholarship Foundation was established in the memory of Tyler Lee Phipps, 2003 graduate of Ozark High School and 2008 graduate of York College. This $3500 scholarship was established in honor of Tyler and to provide opportunities for others, like him, on their path to leadership success.  The Tyler Phipps Foundation will help provide opportunities to high achieving individuals. The scholarship will provide funds to assist in the advanced education in the agriculture and produce industries. MISSOURI GAMING ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

The Missouri Gaming Association is the trade organization of casino companies in Missouri.  MGA is announcing the Project 21 2018 Scholarship Program.  The goal of the scholarship program is to inform youth that it is not permissible in Missouri for persons under the age of 21 to gamble in a casino and to also educate them about the dangers and consequences associated with underage gambling.  The program provides students an opportunity to disseminate their message by writing an article or creating a video or poster addressing the issue of underage gambling.  $1500 is available for winning entries.  For more information and an application, go to this link:   http://www.missouricasinos.org/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/filemanager/files/2018_Project_21_Application.pdf.   Entries must be submitted by March 1.


NATIONAL FARMERS FARM KIDS FOR COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

Students interested in attending an accredited college or university to study for a career in agriculture may apply.  Application includes typing answers to essay questions, two letters of reference, and a recent photo.  Applications are available online at http://www.nfo.org/Scholarships/Default.aspx and are due by  March 1.  Completed applications should be mailed to:  Eunice Fisher, Missouri Coordinator, Farm Kids for College, National Farmers Organization, 405 East Martin Street, Perry, MO  63462.

MIKE ROWE WORKS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP (MIDWEST TECHNICAL INSTITUTE)

If you are interested in attending MTI, scholarship information is available at https://midwesttech.edu/scholarship.  The application through the Mike Rowe Works Foundation involves registering for the program, completing the application, submitting a video, and attending a campus tour to complete an applicable program assessment and meet with financial aid.  Deadline to apply is March 9.


BRAXTON RETHWISCH SCHOLARSHIP                                                                                                                                                                  This scholarship is available to high school seniors who exhibit a commitment to learning and have demonstrated leadership skills and community service involvement. Two one-time $1,000 scholarships will be awarded, as well as a one-time $500 scholarship (this year only).  NOTE: Applicants must enroll as a full-time student at a MOACAC member post-secondary institution.  Deadline: March 1st.  Eligibility criteria/application


SCHOLARS HELPING COLLARS SCHOLARSHIP Pet Lifestyle And You (P.L.A.Y.)
This $1,000 scholarship rewards one student who can tell the best story, describing the impact he or she made in the life of a rescue animal or animal welfare cause in general.  Deadline: February 28, 2018    Scholarship Link: https://www.petplay.com/scholarship/


KANSAS CITY ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT DISTRIBUTORS SCHOLARSHIP
The Kansas City Associated Equipment Distributors awards up to four annual scholarships in the amount of $1000 each.  Both men and women attending a vocational/technical school, and pursuing a certificate or associates degree in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Equipment Repair, are eligible to apply.  Applicants must be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.5 GPA.  Application includes a 750-1000 essay, recommendation letters, and other necessary application and transcript paperwork.  Applications are available in the Guidance Center.  Postmark deadline is February 1.


JAMES & NELLIE WESTLAKE SCHOLARSHIP
Seniors who have at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate limited financial resources (adjusted gross income of $50,000 or less) are invited to apply. Applications are available at https://www.scholarsapply.org/westlake/.    Postmark deadline is February 1.


NATIONAL FFA ORGANIZATION SCHOLARSHIP

Current senior FFA members who plan to be full-time students in a post-secondary institution should visit www.ffa.org/participate/scholarships to download a copy of the application for various FFA scholarships.  Deadline is February 1.



MISSOURI VALLEY SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ENGLISH MAJORS

Planning to go to Missouri Valley and major in English?  Check out these $10,000 essay contests (Virginia Zank Scholarship and Loren Gruber Scholarship) at http://www.moval.edu/financial_aid/scholarships.php.  Deadline to apply is February 15.


MISSOURI CADET PATROL ACADEMY

Students ages 16-18 who have at least a 2.0 GPA, have good moral character, have a valid driver’s license, and who are interested in pursuing a career in the Criminal Justice System are invited to apply for the Cadet Patrol Academy that is offered by the MO State Highway Patrol and the American Legion during the week of June 10-15, 2018 in Jefferson City.  Applications and more information are available at http://missourilegion.org/molegion_005.htm.  Deadline to apply is February 15.


MISSOURI SOCIETY OF CPAs SCHOLARSHIP

The Missouri Society of CPAs (MSCPA) sponsors a $500 scholarship for seniors meeting the following criteria:  MSCPA high school student members (which is free of charge and can be obtained online here); recommended by an educator or school administrator;  Missouri resident (or child of an MSCPA member); enrolled in a college/university in Missouri (after high school graduation); and declared as an accounting major.   High school winners are selected based on a point system, rating their GPA, ACT or SAT, educator recommendation, and leadership potential (honors, awards and activities).

Scholarship Details:

High school seniors are eligible to receive $500 toward their college education.  Applicants must be:

·       MOCPA high school student members, which is free of charge and can be obtained online here;

·         Recommended by an educator or school administrator;

·         Missouri residents (or child of a MOCPA member);

·         High school seniors during the 2017-2018 school year;

·         Enrolled in a college/university in Missouri (after high school graduation); and

·         Declared as an accounting major.

High school winners are selected based on a point system, rating their GPA, ACT or SAT, educator recommendation, and leadership potential (honors, awards and activities).

JAMES L. AND NELLIE M. WESTLAKE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship Foundation was established in 1981 pursuant to the provisions of the wills of James L. and Nellie M. Westlake for the purpose of assisting Missouri residents in pursuing a college education. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited four-year institution of the student's choice. Go to https://www.scholarsapply.org/westlake/. ESA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP ESA International is a philanthropic service organization with state councils in 39 states and Australia who operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.  The ESA Foundation awarded over $200,000 in scholarships last year to worthy recipients.  Find many scholarship opportunities through ESA online at http://www.epsilonsigmaalpha.org/scholarships-and-grants/. ED STEGNER NATURAL RESOURCE Scholarships

The Foundation’s Ed Stegner Natural Resource Scholarships were established to provide major financial aid to encourage and assist students in five areas of natural resource management: Fisheries, Forestry, Wildlife, Parks and Recreation and Soil and Water conservation.  Priority for this $1000 scholarship is given to those who demonstrate financial need.  More information is available at http://www.conservemo.org/ed-stegner-natural-resource-scholarship.html.  Deadline to apply is January 31.

NATIONAL MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP

High school seniors who have MS or who have a parent with MS are invited to apply for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Scholarship.   Applicants must plan to attend an accredited post-secondary school at a two or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States.  Most awards are between $1000-$3000.  Applications are available online at http://www.nationalmssociety.org/Resources-Support/Insurance-and-Financial-Information/Financial-Resources/Scholarship-Program/Scholarship-Program-Information.   Deadline to apply is January 31.

MSU ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

If you qualify, or would like to qualify, for an MSU automatic academic scholarship (minimum ACT range 24-28), the last ACT test date you can use to raise your score is December 2017 (October if you are applying for the Presidential Scholarship).  If you would like an opportunity to raise your score to qualify, please make sure you sign up for the October or December test dates.  All MSU Freshman Scholarships are available at http://www.missouristate.edu/FinancialAid/scholarships/Freshman.htm.  



MISSOURI GAMING ASSOCIATION PROJECT 21 SCHOLARSHIP -  The Project 21 2018 Scholarship Program provides students an opportunity to disseminate their message by writing an article or creating a poster or video addressing the issue of underage gambling. INJURY LAWYER SCHOLARSHIPS
We understand a single injury can affect a person's life forever and we'd like to help a student who has been negatively affected by an injury.
This scholarship is available for high school seniors and current college students nationwide who will be attending or currently attending a 4-year college/university or 2-year community college for the Fall of 2018. Here are some notes about the scholarship:
  • Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • One time award of $1,500
  • All applications must be submitted no later than 05/31/18

MIKE ROWE MTI WORKS SCHOLARSHIPS

Midwest Technical Institute and the mikeroweWORKS Foundation are pleased to announce the third annual mrWF/MTI High School Scholarship Program for graduating high school seniors beginning Sept. 15. The 2016-2017 program will award seven graduating high school seniors with a 100 percent tuition-paid scholarship for any of MTI’s workforce training programs. Winners will have the opportunity to select from a number of in-demand vocational courses and programs including welding, HVAC, medical assisting, dental assisting, truck driving and more.
