We are a group of ordinary people who gather around the hope found in Jesus Christ, the one who calls us to a life where our focus is to LOVE GOD and to LOVE OTHERS (as much as we LOVE OURSELVES!)
We are part of the worldwide Salvation Army network. Locally, at the Wood Green Christian Centre we are a church of Missional Communities who organize ourselves under the Jesus principles of GO, GATHER & GROW!
We are a mid-sized community of all ages, from all around the world, each one with a different story to tell - stories of joy & success, stories of struggle (& sometimes failure) as we make our way through life, stories of faith & stories of hope. We enjoy each other & celebrate our differences!
We are a people who believe that God is in the business of reconciliation & transformation - in the lives of individuals, in & through his people the Church & out, through our lives together, into our networks, our neighbourhood, our nation & the world!
We are a contributor church! We are committed to the vision of community held in Acts 2:42-47. We don't wait around & expect "Church" to be done to us & for us! We are the Church! We believe in getting involved - everyone in ministry to each other in the church & everyone in a Missional Community, facing & moving outwards into our networks, neighbourhoods & our nation.
We gather each Sunday from 10:30am at our centre on Lymington Avenue (see map below)
GATHERING – Gathering at comes in all shapes and sizes! We encourage our community to primarily gather as Missional Communities and as you journey together as an MC there will be opportunities to break into smaller groups (3-5 people) for accountability and support of your personal life and faith journey – these are called DNA’s (Discipleship, Nurture & Accountability groups).
