Laptop running slow? Try these simple steps to improve performance:
Shut down the computer completely at least once a day. Leaving it running for long periods of time can cause slowness, “blue screens” and freezing. Many times these issues result in frustration and loss of productivity.
Close unused tabs while using the web browser Chrome. Too many open tabs consume resources needed for efficient operation of the laptop.
Be aware of when your weekly virus scan runs. Though extremely important to run weekly, it can cause slowness when opening new applications. Contact The Bridge to set the weekly scan to run at a time when you are less likely to have multiple applications open.
Press ctrl+alt+delete on your keyboard and select task manager. Click on the Processes tab and look for an entry labeled "CCM.Exe." End all instances of this entry and this should help the speed of the ThinkPad.
