If you have not connected to the Wake Forest University wireless network using your Wake Forest University issued computer and/or personal computing device since July 2, 2014, please follow the instructions below to ensure your ability to use the campus wireless network.

Before you come to campus

  • Returning faculty and students with Wake Forest University issued devices should follow the instructions found on http://help.wfu.edu/wfuwireless in order to be able to connect to the campus wireless network. No further action will be required to connect to the campus wireless network when you arrive on campus.

  • Incoming freshmen with Wake Forest University issued devices will not need to do anything.

After you get to campus

  • Faculty and students with Wake Forest University issued devices (that have not completed the instructions above) and/or those with personal computing devices may see a pop-up regarding trusting the certificate when connecting to the wireless network. There is no security risk when this pop-up appears and you should accept the certificate to continue. The pop-up you see will be dependent on the operating system you are using. Go to http://help.wfu.edu/wfuwireless to view the possible pop-ups.

  • If you do not accept the certificate, you will not be able to connect to the campus wireless network. You will need to visit The Bridge, located in the Z. Smith Reynolds Library, for further assistance.

If you have questions or concerns, contact the Information Systems Service Desk at help.wfu.edu or (336)-758-4357.
