2017 Summer Intensive dates are Monday, August TBD through Friday, August TBD.
The Community Ballet program offers a one week summer ballet intensive for students who are at least nine years old by August 1 with a minimum of two years of ballet instruction with any ballet program.
On the first day of the Intensive all students meet in the small dance studio on the second floor (204) of the Scales Fine Arts Center on the Wake Forest campus. Classes begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. so students should be dressed and ready to participate.
Students may bring lunch or purchase food at an on-campus location during the 45 minute lunch break. Available choices during the summer are usually limited to Subway, Einstein Brothers Bagels, Benson Center grill, and Provisions On Demand - a small convenience store offering salads, sandwiches, snacks, and drinks. There are many other camps and college classes so be prepared to wait if you are purchasing food on campus.
We encourage every student to bring their own bottle to fill with filtered water from the Hydration stations located at each studio.
The week concludes with a brief performance on Friday in the big dance studio at the back of the building.
Seating is very limited.
The $250 tuition payment is due by the first day of class.
