Today's announcements are:

1.    Attention Everyone!  Yearbooks are available for sale online.  See the flyer in the link at the top of this page.
2.    For more information regarding the WFSD Family Support Center, please see the flyer link at the top of this page, it is the flyer titled Parent to Parent.
3.    The WFMS PTO is offering highly discounted Hershey Park tickets. Flyers went home last week.  Ask your parents to plan a get away to Hershey this summer.  Orders are due by Monday, March 27, 2017 and the flyer link is at the top of this page.
4.    Attention 8th graders - the 8th grade field trip permission slip deadline has been extended to this Friday.  Please bring permission slips to your social studies teachers.
5.    Community service information is available to students who wish to volunteer to receive service hours.  Information is available in the Main Office.
6.    Students who have committed to Time-keeping at tonight's Parent/Teacher Conferences must meet in the main office at 5:45 pm to sign in an pick up room assignments.  
7.    Mrs. Schick's Music Idol group will be meeting every day this week - if you are in the play, please meet with us for five minutes for information.
8.    Attention all 6th graders - the spring intramural session is here.  Permission slips can be picked up in the Main Office during your lunch period.  Space is limited, you must have a physical on file and a signed permission slip.
9.   What are you doing next Saturday, March 25?  Come join us for a day at the movies! Come see Beauty and the Beast @ 11:00 am at Island Cinemas - the cost is $10 and gets you popcorn and a soda.  All proceeds go to help drill a well in Liberia.  See you there! *You can buy tickets in the Main Office or at the door.
10.   Attention all boys interested in running track this spring!  There will be a mandatory meeting this Thursday, March 23, right after school in room 302.  You will be taking the 3:15 pm bus home.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Ardito or Mr. Friedman.
11.   The girls basketball team won their last game of the season against Longwood 43-23! Great team win and great season!
12.   All 7th and 8th grade boys interested in trying out for baseball need to have all paperwork into the Nurse in order to tryout. If you have any questions, please ask your Coach or the Nurse.  Tryouts start Monday, March 27.
13.   All Cheerleaders must return uniforms ASAP!! Please see Ms. Maurisseau.  All uniforms must have names on them.
14.   On Friday, March 24, breakfast will be served in the cafeteria only.  There will be no breakfast cart in the lobby.

- The cafeteria serves breakfast from 7:40-8:10. A pass from the Main Office or Cafeteria is required to get off the bus early and you must get breakfast before you go to your locker.

- WFMS collects Box Tops for Education. Please bring in as many as you can to help raise money for our school.

- Lost & found is located in the back of the cafeteria.

- If you forgot an item at home and someone brings it in you will not be called out of class. Stop at the attendance office during lunch or between classes.

Reminders to all students

1. There is no eating or drinking on our school buses or in classrooms.

2. You are never able to touch or slap another individual at WFMS. Those caught engaging in this behavior will receive consequences. 

3. Backpacks are not permitted throughout the school day. 

4. If you are driven to school you must exit your car on the right. 

5. Appropriate apparel is required at WFMS. Short skirts, short shorts & belly shirts are not permitted. 

6. Electronic devices are prohibited in the building, including ear buds & phones.

Today's announcements are:

1.    Attention Everyone!  Yearbooks are available for sale online.  See the directions attached at the bottom of this page.
2.    For more information regarding the WFSD Family Support Center, please see the flyer link attached at the bottom of this page. It is listed as Parent to Parent.
3.    The WFMS PTO is offering highly discounted Hershey Park tickets. Flyers went home last week.  Ask your parents to plan a get away to Hershey this summer.  Orders are due by Monday, March 27, 2017 and the flyer link is attached at the bottom of this page.
4.    Any band student who missed their audition due to the snow day should sign up for a make up on the band notes board in the music hallway.
5.    Jazz Band will rehearse today after school.
6.    There will be a National Junior Honor Society meeting on Friday, March 17, immediately following school in room 417, the Home and Career kitchen.
7.    The 7th and 8th grade boys interested in playing tennis, there will be a mandatory meeting after school next Monday, March 20 in room 419.  If you have any questions, see Coach Healey in room 419.
8.    Today is Sport Physical Day - again.  Any student who has a yellow pass, please keep your appointment!  If you lost your yellow pass - still keep your appointment time as the doctor is here until 11 am.
9.    Mrs. Schick's Music Idol group will be meeting every day (Wed.- Fri.) this week - if you are in the play, please meet with us for five minutes for information.
10.   Attention 8th graders - field trip money is due by next Monday, 3/20.  Please bring permission slips to your social studies teachers.
11.   Community service information is available to students who wish to volunteer to receive service hours.  Information is available in the Main Office.
12.   Sixth and seventh grader students who wish to volunteer for Timekeeping at our March 23 Parent/Teacher Conferences can sign up in the Main Office.

Today's announcements are:

1.    Attention Everyone!  Yearbooks are available for sale online.  See the directions attached at the bottom of this page.

3.    Free Breakfast for all students the week of Monday, March 6 - Friday, March 10, 2017.
4.    No one is permitted to carry cups or drinks other than water in the building at any time.
5.    Congratulations to our outstanding 2017 Regional Science Quiz Bowl Team who won First Place in their division against tough competition and fourth overall against 19 Long Island teams Saturday at Brookhaven National Lab.  The team defeated last year's Long Island National Team twice during the competition to win their division. The team was made up of the following students: Captain Louis Parrinello, Rachel Zummo, Chloe Hangley, Ian Hua, Brendan Bertos.
6.    Mrs. Schick's Music Idol group will be meeting everyday starting Wednesday to Friday this week - If you are in the play, please meet with us with for five minutes for information.
7.   Any 7th and 8th grade boys trying out for baseball, there will be a mandatory meeting next Monday, March 13 right after school in the ISS Room.  Take the 3:23 bus home.  Must have a physical to try out.  If you played fall or winter sport, please see the nurse to update your physical form.
8.    Boys soccer clinic tonight at Floyd Middle School will be cancelled. Clinic will continue next Friday. 
9.    All members of Guitar Club, see Mr. Trask today.  
10.   A reminder to all SCMEA participants: Please listen for this afternoon's announcements.  7th & 8th graders will be called down at 1:15 pm. 6th Graders will be called down at 2:00 pm.
11.    The WFMS Book Fair is back March 21-23, during gym class. You will have the opportunity to shop for your favorite book selection. Online shopping is also available.

Today's announcements are:

3.    SPORTS PHYSICALS ARE THIS WEEK - Last chance to have a physical for the school year.  This physical may also be used for next fall's sports.
    • Boys wanting to play a sport - you need to stay after on Monday, March 6 and report to the gym right after dismissal.
    • Girls wanting to play a sport - you need to stay after on Tuesday, March 7 and report to the gym right after dismissal.
    • If you have any questions - see the Nurse during your lunch period.
