  • Last chance to use this year's Colonial Cash:  Come on down to the lobby and check out our "Summer Send Off" Raffle!  Make sure your first and last name are written neatly on your colonial cash!
  • Yearbooks are here - After announcements, students with cash may come to room 203 to purchase a yearbook - yearbooks will also be on sale tomorrow.  The cost of a yearbook is $35.00, cash only.
  • All Select Choir members - please report to the Chorus room immediately.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
  • The WFMS Testing Letter and Schedule has been distributed to all students.  Please ask your child for this very important information regarding the last two weeks of school.  A copy may also be found in our virtual backpack.
  • The WFMS NJHS Bylaws for the 17-18 school year are located in our virtual backpack.
  • The William Floyd Community Summit presents Gaming Culture.  Join us at Battlegrounds Computer Store in Shirley on Saturday, June 30 from 11-5 for a community gaming day.  Tournaments in Fortnite, Smash Brothers and Mortal Kombat. Compete for prizes.  Support the Community Summit by destroying the competition.

    CLUB/GROUP MEETINGS:
    • A reminder to all 8th grade Orchestra members - all Cello and Basses should be back.  Also all Orchestra members 6th,7th & 8th graders should have their orchestra lockers cleaned out by the end of the day.
    • Any 8th grade girl interested in swimming next fall should sign up on the list which is on Mr. Harris' door, room 504.

    CONGRATULATIONS:
    • Congratulations to Boys Lacrosse for winning their last game of the season against Longwood 16 to 13. Ryan Flaherty has 1 goal. Connor Murtha and Nick Taiani had 2 goals each. Nick Muelthaler had 5 goals and Gianni Lubitz had 7 goals. Aaron Nelson, Paul Abbottista, Sean Tumbrello, and Anthony Devoe each had 1 assist. Great Defense was played by Daren Dash, Mike Guarino, and Jeremy Velasquez. Vinny Corelli and Josh Sutherland each had 4 saves.

    • In a grueling battle of kickball between the 8th graders versus the teachers & local police officers, the 8th graders were victorious.  With a late game comeback, the students squeaked out a 4-3 win.  Congratulations to those 8th graders and thanks to all the teacher participants.

    • Get your Colonial Cash ready for the LAST TIME in the 2017/18 school year.  The Colonial Store will be open today and Thursday, June 7.
    • Science Quiz Bowl will meet today.  All former and new interested members are welcome!  Come to room 403.
    • All 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys interested in playing soccer next year must attend a mandatory meeting today in room 301.  You will take the 3:23 pm bus home.
    • Any 8th graders interested in playing JV 9 or JV football next year at the high school should attend the meeting after school on Friday, June 8, with Coach Connor and Coach Sidaris in room 302.
    • Attention 8th graders - the 8th grade dance is this Friday night, June 8, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.  The theme is Hollywood: Coast to Coast.  Tickets are on sale now in the grade level office for $5 and 2 Colonial Cash.
    • 8th Grade Participants for the Faculty/Police vs. Student Kickball Game - at the end of school, report to the back fields for sign-in and get ready to play!

    CLUB/GROUP MEETINGS:
    • Mr. Mozer's Science Research Club will meet today after school in room 303.  Extra help for the Science final will also be available.
    • National Junior Honor Society Members and Candidates must arrive to the Main Office by 6:20 pm sharp tonight.
    • Reminder - we will be having a special performance by our high school select vocal groups 4th period today in the Auditorium.  Any Chorus member who has received permission from their 4th period teacher is welcome to attend.

    There will be no After School Advantage Program on Tuesday, June 5.
     
    Below are the morning announcements for today.

    CLUB/GROUP MEETINGS:
    • A reminder to all 6th grade Band & Orchestra students - please bring a pencil to class for your final and no lunch today in class.
    • Reminder to all Select Choir members - there will be a rehearsal today after school.  It's our last rehearsal.  All must attend.
    • Coffee House will meet in room 304.
    • Environmental Club meets today in room 208.  Students attending Friday's field trip must attend this meeting.
    • Get your Colonial Cash ready for the LAST TIME in the 2017/18 school year.  The Colonial Store will be open this Wednesday, June 6 and Thursday, June 7.
    • If you are interested in trying out for Cheerleading for the 2018/19 school year, you must attend the meeting on Wednesday, June 6 at 2:40 pm in room 420.
    • To all members of the Girls Track Team.  We will have our end of the season event in room 420 today.

    • Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade Band, Orchestra and Chorus on their amazing performances at the Long Island Music Festival on Saturday!  All 3 groups earned a top rating of Superior.  Great Job!! 
    • Congratulations to the Chamber Orchestra for an outstanding performance last night at the Bistro.  Also a special thanks to Ms. Czarnomski and her Honor Society students for all they did behind the scenes.  If you were an Honor Society student who helped out last night, please stand now and can we give them a big round of applause.

    • A reminder to all Chamber Orchestra members - you are to report here at the middle school at 5:15 pm for tuning and warm-ups for tonight's Bistro.
    • A reminder to all band students - today is the last day to complete your scale or rudiment test.  See Mrs. Conefry with any questions.
    • Reminder to all Select Choir members - there will be a rehearsal tomorrow after school.  It's our last rehearsal.  All must attend.

    • The WFMS Testing Letter and Schedule has been distributed to all students.  Please ask your child for this very important information regarding the last two weeks of school.  A copy may also be found in our virtual backpack.

    There will be no After School Advantage Program on Tuesday, June 5.
     
    Below are the morning announcements for today.

    CLUB/GROUP MEETINGS:
    • If you are interested in trying out for Cheerleading for the 2018/19 school year, you must attend the meeting on Wednesday, June 6 at 2:40 pm in room 420.
    • Attention 8th graders - the 8th grade dance is next Friday night, June 8, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.  The theme is Hollywood: Coast to Coast.  Tickets are on sale now in the grade level office for $5 and 2 Colonial Cash.
    • The annual Advantage After School Program Talent Show is tonight!  The show starts at 7:00 pm and there is no cost/no tickets required.  Hope to see you all there!

    • All 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing soccer next fall must attend a mandatory meeting today in room 402.  You will take the 3:23 pm bus home.
