Family Involvement

Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success. ~Henry Ford

Parent and school partnership is essential for the social, emotional, and academic progress of our children. We seek to foster honest, sustainable communication, collaboration in the form of a cooperative establishment of priorities and responsibilities for meeting the needs of our children, and a connection through the dissemination of resource information, education, and training opportunities. During the year we will meet to facilitate opportunities for input as well as information/resource sharing. We are always seeking ongoing feedback to enhance our services. Please feel free to call or email at any time if you have questions and/or feedback.

Wisconsin Statewide Parent-Educator Initiative (WSPEI)-Parents & Educators Working Together

The Wisconsin Statewide Parent-Educator Initiative (WSPEI) is a service for parents, educators, and others interested in parent-educator partnerships for children with disabilities. WSPEI is all about partnerships.  It helps parents and school districts build positive working relationships that lead to shared decision making and children's learning. WSPEI/CESA 1 is offering many workshops geared towards parents of students with disabilities throughout the school year. All are FREE to attend (however, they ask that you pre-register).

CAFÉ Tuesday

CAFÉ Tuesdays will focus on a different disability area each month. Experts, support organizations, and people who live with the disability will be invited to present. There will be time for questions, networking, and sharing of information and resources among all participants. Dates and times are forthcoming.

Family Options
Families and schools have a “built-in” partnership with the child as the focus. This partnership grows when parents and school staff work together. Disagreements may happen and the following link provides options available if you have questions or disagree.
