Message from the Acting Principal

Everyone is making the most of the warm weather and extending the teaching and learning to the outdoors.

Congratulations to the students who represented our school at the North Otago and Otago Athletics this week.  We also have our girls cricket team heading to Lincoln tomorrow to attend The National Primary School Shield Competition.

The end of year is creeping near so please check out the upcoming dates in this newsletter and add them to your calendar.

Our Principal, Nicky Ryan, is now on Sabbatical leave for the remainder of the year and we wish her all the best for her learning during this time.

Teachers are head down and busy with report writing at the moment and we look forward to sharing these with you in the final days of school.

Students Making Weston School Proud ….

Tennis Reps

Kate Mortimer, Jorja Belt and Blake White represented Weston School in the Otago Primary School Championships.  They all played very well with Kate and Jorja finishing in the top 8.  They are also participated with a number of other Weston children in a Quads Tournament in Dunedin last weekend.

Lane of Marvels

Well done to our two Weston students Corey Pope and Jesse Valpy who had leading roles in the Lane of Marvels play.  It was great how they included digital technology into the play.  Children were enthusiastic and the actors engaged the audience well.  The children particularly enjoyed follow up workshops which helped consolidate their learning about Lane's emulsion.  Please see the link below for a taste of what the children experienced.
