Noel Leeming Evening

I have had a lot of response from parents asking about the kinds of devices that might support their child's learning. What do they get and where do they start when venturing into the world of digital technology?

We have met with representatives of Noel Leeming and would like to work with them to show parents what they can get and use if they so choose. Noel Leeming will provide assistants but likewise we will also have teachers there to show you some of the programmes that we use or could be used and how we use tablets. At Weston we do not advocate anyone brand or device - we are open to making the choices that suit preferences and budget!

We are hoping this might help parents to make choices for what is right for their family especially if you have a child that is involved in our Year 7 & 8 BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) programme. Likewise for those parents that wish to dip their toe in the water and find out more about digitised learning and how they can view technology as a learning tool not just as a toy or must have, then you might enjoy this evening too.

Noel Leeming will have some specials available (e.g. tablet packages) just on this night but this is to be encouraged as an invitation to learning evening.
